The winter weather conditions in the area have caused many problems. The storms of past weeks have washed away much of the board walk. The latest casualty is the road between Pendati and Agios Gordios. Part of it has collapsed possibly caused by a landslip due to excessive local rain. Let us hope that money is found to repair the road in time for the summer season as many guests enjoy visiting this traditional village.

The road conditions between Pendati and Agios Gordios are worse than I feared. The village has launched a website to raise money for repairs. The website also gives lots of information about the village and many photos. Check it out at http://www.pentati.com/regeneration-projects/road-fund.html

At least they are not sitting back waiving their hands in the air. They are taking active steps which they hope will resolve the problem. I wish them the best of luck and hope to be able to visit in August with a friend.
