Hi all. We are about to visit Kassiopi for the third time but first time without our son (now old enough to holiday with his pals in other parts of the world). As my wife and I may venture into bars and tavernas more than we have done previously, I would be grateful for any advice on a suitable drink for someone who doesn't like the taste of alcohol unless it tastes fruity. Her favourite drink is Pimms and when we have visited Spain she has enjoyed 'some' sangria (as long as they do not taste too much like wine) so it would be great if there was a Greek, or even better a Corfiot equivalent of these. I will be fine with the local wine but any suggestions for a suitable drink for my lovely wife would be appreciated.

Cheers Star

Any of the cocktail bars will be pleased to produce non alcoholic cocktails.

In a lot of the bars, they do a really nice Amstel lager called Radler, it's really low alcohol compared to other lagers but it is made with lemon. Served in an ice glass it's so refreshing and really hits the spot as its so lemony.

I'm not a lager drinker, but I'll second the Radler, especially if you can get a ginger and lime one.
I think they're only about 2 %.
I used to wish I liked lager as it looks so cool and refreshing, but didn't like the taste...but now I've discovered Radler and it really hits the spot!Wink

Amstel Radler is a lovely drink on a hot afternoon. Straight from the fridge it's so refreshing & as Goldensun says it's only 2%.

Can I be a bit necky and ask another question? Would be grateful for suggestions for great veggie options No fish or meat) in restaurants in Kassiopi. I know Petrinos does a fantastic veggie mousaka and stir fried vegetables and the Old School/Three Brothers does good stuffed tomatoes and peppers but I wonder if anyone can suggest any other good options. Thanks again everyone. Smile

There will be many veggie options on the menus. Deep fried courgettes, skordalia (mashed potato with garlic), briam (roasted mixed vegetables), roasted and/or feta stuffed peppers, gigantes (big beans in a tomato sauce) to name but a few. Also of course the famous Greek salad.
It is nice to have a selection of starters and share.

I prefer veg options or fish (not a huge meat eater) and have never had a problem with food anywhere in Greece.

Thank you all for your advice. Loving Kassiopi as much as ever and managing just fine with the veggie options. Just had a vegetarian platter each and shared a litre of sangria (I know it is not traditional Greek but it was made entirely with local produce) and my wife is very happy and wobbly. Cheers all.
