You would have thought so, but have taken this straight from the profile which definitely says posts.  I imagine it really means points. Still finding our way around at the moment but no doubt we'll get there in the end.

Unfortunately there's bound to be the odd 'blip' but so far I believe things have been going mainly very well indeed.

Funny thing is when I joined here I had 2 stars, and now reduced to one and I cannot pm someone that I wanted to. If it is a blip, could it be corrected please?

Hi,
When the profiles were imported from the old site, some were imported as 1* and some 2*, however as you only made 3 posts on the old site, you have your correct status as 1*. You did not have access to the pm system on the old site either. Hope this explains it for you.  ps. Thanks David. |

Hi Eddie, Your not going to believe this, but Nathan who owns and runs this site was downgraded from 10 stars to 5 stars,...imagine how he feels.
 Bruce, (He who used to have five stars but only has 3 now plus one point gone missing somewhere)

Hey Bruce, you gained a title though!
I have the option to re-enable the 10 star scale (as before), and I may do this later. However, in the old forum, we often found it caused problems (where's my star etc!)

Does it matter how many stars or points you have got? We have got the site back thats enough for me. I remember on the old site years ago people were bickering about the same thing and were posting one liners or even one word just to get their posts up. Nothing helpful was being said and Nathan decided to get rid of all stars and every one was the same. If you went to a persons profile you could see the number of stars that they had got but it wasn't advertised under their name or avatar.
He might decide to do the same considering all bickering that is going on now. By the way, I have lost a star but what the hell.  Alec. |

Hi Alecko, I totally agree with you. I for one am glad that the forum is back as I gleaned so much information from it as to what restaurants, places of interest to visit etc. It was also a godsend for us when we decided to buy a place in Corfu with the advice and information given by friends that we had met through this forum and it's knowledgeable members.  It just goes to show that you can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time? Hope you're still with me!  I lost 4*, but as you say, what the hell. It's a new forum with new guidelines. Let's just be thankful it's still here.
