Ag Gordios

The resort of Agios Gordios is on the west coast of Corfu.

Depending on the taxi driver it can take from 20 minutes to 40 minutes to transfer from the airport.

As you climb the hills crossing from east to west, the olive groves are all around you.

Descending into Agios Gordios is a joy whether by day or night. At night the lights of the village are spread out below you. By day the panoramic view is breathtaking, looking across the bay to the landmark of 'Orthlithi' the rock guarding the cliffs.

Agios Gordios is a relatively small resort with a long sandy beach, and is a real find. There is plenty to do with an assortment of Tavernas and Restaurants scattered along the narrow high street, and along the beach.

In the evening the sunsets of Agios Gordios, being on the west coast are spectacular.

Coming from the hotel and arriving on the sand, you will be greeted by Nikolas Pactitis, one of the many Corfiots who work in the resort.

The Agios Gordios Beach

Agios Gordios has, like most of the west coast beaches of Corfu, a nice sandy beach. The beach of Agios Gordios is quite long and leaves enough personal space to everybody.

Sunbeds are available for rent along the entire beach.

Facilities

The beach of Agios Gordios is amongst the Corfu Blue Flag Beaches therefore it has all the necessary facilities such as showers, toilets, changing cabin, etc.

Child Suitability

The beach is suitable for children of any age. Just be aware that there might be some currents which are characteristic for the west coast of Corfu.

Cleanliness and Urchins

The beach of Agios Gordios is very clean and there are no urchins.

Places Near Agios Gordios


	Pelekas Pelekas can be found on the West coast of Corfu - just opposite Corfu (Kerkyra) town. Pelekas is a large village situated on the top of a hill. The beach is below the village - about a 10 min walk or a short car journey. Pelekas

How to get to Agios Gordios

Take the main road from the airport towards Benitses. After about 4.5 km the main road will sharply turn to the left. Keep on going straight following the road towards Achillion.
After a few miles there will be signs for Achillion and Pelekas. Take the road towards Pelekas. Stay on that road until you see signs fo Agios Gordios on your left. They will bring you straight to Agios Gordios.

There are several small to medium size hotels in Agios Gordios. Also there are a lot of rooms to let places in Agios Gordios.

The Pink Palace

Agios Gordios is the home of the famous 'Pink Palace'. The Pink Palace is a hostel style hotel which - you've probably figured - is pink. Many backpacker who visit Corfu stay in the Pink Palace.

There are several good tavernas in Agios Gordios. You will find them along the beach front as well as in the town of Agios Gordios itself.
