Corfu is known locally as Kerkyra. The
English known it as Corfu or Corcyra (which is the Latin name for
Corfu). The English pronunciation is 'K-or-fu' (Incidentally, the
German and Dutch spelling is Korfu.)
Occasionally, you will hear an English
tourist pronounce it: Korfew (Kor-few). This is incorrect.
