I suspect that the removal of certain threads have been due to individuals concerned with certain projects being named.
I would suggest that we must all be aware that as interesting as some topics are and as pertinent as they are to those living here and particularly those employed within tourism, they could give the wrong impression to prospective visitors. Strewth! That was a mouthful!
As has been said before, it's a shame that there is no place where we can discuss such matters that would not be counter-productive to the tourism industry or adversely reflect on this excellent travel forum.
If anyone shares the view expressed in the last paragraph, perhaps you would PM me. I am not up to mischief, honest!

It's obviously difficult for this site, wonderful as it is, to host controversial discussions that have nothing at all to do with Agni or holidays. But there are many who post here and others who lurk here, like me, who are mainly interested in the quite controversial and inflammatory topics (like the fish farm or the TV lady) and would even like to be able to go completely off the road with other topics. I think a sister site would be just the thing.

I cannot say for this software but the forum software that I have been looking at encrypts all PMs and the only way that Admins can see them is if they are forwarded (reported) for such reasons as abuse.
