There are certain locals who show such genuine warmth and friendlyness that encourage people to visit Corfu again and again. Aphrodite is one such person.
Nothing is too much trouble and even though the supermarket is small it is suprisingly well stocked.
If she doesn't have something that you are looking for, she will invariably order it for you. Only today, when I popped down for icecream (essential to keep the Agni Travel office running smoothly!) did I overhear someone asking if she sold kettles! No she said, but I'll be in town tomorrow, so I will buy you one - now that is service!
