IKA surgery, which would accept E111 is in Moraitika but doctor does visit Benitses, not sure which day, suggest contacting Ann at Argo and asking her advice.

Personally I always only use an E111, and when I lived in UK if I was going out of the EU the travel insurance with my bank account was OK but problems come if you want repatriation.

Would just say that having met visitors and foreign residents in the hospital on occasions all have been delighted with treatment they have received- at no cost- time between admission, tests and treatment was in one person's estimate about 4 days quicker than identical situation in UK

Hi

We will be taking our 1st ever holiday to Corfu this August, staying in Moraitika. My partner and son are keen anglers and usually take a telescopic rod with them where ever they go.

So was wondering if any has any experience of fishing the river? Is it possible, and any tips?

Any info greatfully received.

Thanks

Why not try Moraitika? It is not hilly, unless you venture up into the old village. The resort itself is flat. Lots of restaurants & bars, nice beach. Not too far from the airport, for your transfer, about 30 minutes. Seabird hotel is a nice hotel to stay. Easyjet holidays have accomodation there!

Hi Muffy,
Boukari is in the south of Corfu, past Moraitika & down into Messonghi, then follow the coast road from Messonghi. Only a few minutes past Messonghi, very peaceful & picturesque..

As far as I know, there is the Greek Orthodox church, just up from the water fountain..  There is also a church/chapel on the road into Moraitika, which could be the one you mean! It is just past Zaks Taverna.. opposite the Palladium.
