Agni Bay

Agni Bay: In Greek Agni means un-spoilt and this describes Agni perfectly - just three Tavernas (each with their own jetty for mooring up to) and a sprinkle of local buildings. The bay is reached mainly by rented motor boats, although recently there is now a narrow road down into the bay. Each evening we offer a 'Speed Boat' taxi service, from surrounding bays to Taverna Agni. The above video shows the exciting experience.

Nissaki

Nissaki Corfu Agni Travel

Nissaki is a small pretty resort with a horseshoe-shaped beach, offering excellent swimming and water sports. There are several tavernas specialising in local cuisine. A small harbour shelters the many little fishing boats that are moored there and there is a jetty/collection point for the Taverna Agni water taxi which offers an evening service to Taverna Agni and a twice-weekly trip to Corfu Town

Krouzeri Beach

Kalami Corfu Agni Travel

Krouzeri has a long beach (sandy and pebbles) offering safe swimming, water sports and diving. Beachside tavernas provide welcome refreshments to those enjoying the beach and excellent snorkelling. The nearby Nissaki Beach Hotel offers a swimming pool which is open to non-residents, a restaurant and bar and, during the evening a low-key disco. There is a jetty/collection point for the water taxis which operate in the area.

Kalami

Kalami Corfu Agni Travel

Kalami: The bay of Kalami nestles below the hills of the North East Corfu and is famous for both its beautiful beach, and Lawrence Durrell's 'White House'. A popular destination for couples, Kalami is also ideal for a family holiday with tavernas, safe swimming, water sports and boat hire - everyone is catered for!

Back to Top of Page How to get to Loustri

Follow the main coastal road from Corfu town up to the North East of the island, As you near the North East watch out for the winding narrow roads, mirrors are conveniently placed on the worst bends. Pass through Ipsos, Barbati and Nissaki. Keep on goining passing the Nissaki Beach Hotel and Kendroma. The next village is Loustri.

Hi the walk from Loustri to Agni is far more dangerous the main road way.... I understand your concerns walking the beach path but.... Day time fine night time suicideeeeeee.
We kinda like our children and they were ok!

I think that the other way to do it would be to walk up to the road that leads from Kalami to Loustri, and then take the path down from Loustri (just by the bakery/minimarket) , which, although steep, is part maintained footpath, part road.

Hi all,

Returning to Corfu for the first time in 5 years.  Staying at the same villa Karydia in Loustri/Gimari/Yialiskari (why are there 3 variants to every Corfu placename?).

Has anyone walked from Yaliskari beach to Agni recently?  I remember from the last visit that the path was a little close to the cliff edge at places.  This time we'll be bringing a 3 year old and an 18-month old.  Is the path passable with kids?  Is there an alternative route without climbing back up to the main road?

Cheers,

Ian A.

Yep, Jumbo.
From Loustri, make for Town and the airport, before you get there take the road to the south of the island, its about a mile or so from the airport I would guess, on the right hand side of the road.

Hi, I hope somebody can help!

My parents are currently building a villa in Loustri. I've a son who will be about 15months by the time we get to visit them this summer. He needs some equipment: highchair, travel cot and most importantly a car seat over there.

My parents will be driving over for the summer in June and probably wont have any room in their car for all his bulky items and as we'll be flying over with one of the no-frills airlines I dont want to have to pay 20euro or more per item to bring them out with us! (I know the buggy goes free so not worried about that!) to make matters worse flightwise, we are travelling from ROI so will have to do two flights as no direct flights from Ireland these days

So my question is:

Does anyone know of a good, reasonably priced baby shop somewhere on Corfu, preferably with a website, where I can source the things we need so they wont have to be brought over? My son is the first grandchild so I'm sure (fingers crossed!!) that there will be plenty of other babies to use the stuff in later years so dont mind buying it to leave there...
