If you are planning a 'holiday villa' then it is most likely that you will only spend a few weeks each year 'holidaying'. Many owners rent the remaining free weeks to a villa company. CV travel, Meon Villas and of course Agni Travel are popular choices.
Contract Types
Rental contracts are either adhoc (you only get paid for the weeks they actually let) or contract (you get a yearly fee - irrespective of the number of lets).
How Much?
The rental should easily cover all of your yearly-costs.
You are able to block any weeks for your own or friends use. Of course the amount and type of contrat you are offered will depend on how much you plan to use the villa yourself. As a guide (I said guide!), expect: for a luxury villa with pool, 3 bedrooms (each with onsuite), excellent seaviews: 25,000 - 30,000 Euros per season. (Of course, minus the weeks you would use the villa.)
Breakages
Any breakages are replaced and paid for via the villa company. They will ensure that the villa is exactly the same as when you gave it to them.
