How to get to Chalikounas Beach, Chalikounas Beach, Corfu Beach Guide, Corfu Travel Guide
Follow the main road from Corfu Town to Moraitika. In Moraitika you need to stay on the main road which is bending towards the right. After about a mile the road will sharply bend to the left. After the bend you have to look out for signs for Pelekas and Agios Mattheos. Turn into this road and follow it until you see the signs for Gardiki and Chalikounas Beach on your left.
You then will reach an info board. Turn left and follow the signs for Chalikounas Beach and Lake Korission.
But you won't find many locals there either....at least you will find them on the beach, but you'd have to go inland to find a cafeneion (for example)
On the road in to Chalikounas you will find restaurants & tavernas 5 minutes from the beach.

No matter where you go in Corfu you will find tourists. But if I did not want to share the place with too many tourists I would be looking round the Chalikounas Beach area.
